Are you a young, hard-working professional living in NYC struggling with making decisions and finding focus?

Have you recently graduated from a top college and feel overwhelmed or anxious about what you want to do, where you want to go, and who you want to be?

  • Do you feel like your relationships, employment and life goals are up in the air?

  • Do you find yourself wondering “What is wrong with me?” and struggling with depression even though you consider yourself an optimist?

  • Do you want some guidance to help you better understand who you are and what you want out of work, school, and love?

You have so many things you want to do, see and accomplish but struggle with making decisions and finding focus. You are disenchanted by dating in New York and struggle to make connections. You are having anxiety or depression about the pressures of adulthood.

This time of life can feel exciting and exhilarating, yet it is also common at this age to struggle with knowing who you are. Your goals might differ from your family, and many young adults have anxiety about being able to succeed away from the support of their parents and social circle.

While your life is full of positive experiences and opportunities, that doesn't mean you don't need support. You might feel guilty about seeking help. After all, you are accomplished, focused, driven and have so many parts of your life together. You may feel guilty about the privileges you have had in your life, but just because you have had opportunities doesn’t mean you don’t need support.

We know you can do things on your own, but that doesn’t mean you have to. Your questions and fears are as valid as anyone else's and they deserve room to work through them, to find your place.

This is your time and we are here to help you be your best self.

What to expect:

You may have friends who talk about the benefits of therapy and how helpful it can be to have a place to talk through anxieties, challenges with moods, or concerns about drinking too much. You might be ready to take advantage of mental health support and change the dialogue about seeking help but still have some questions about how therapy can help.

Our clinicians use a number of different strategies and tools to help you. Working with our clinicians is goal-oriented. We want you to feel better and make the right decisions for yourself, and we will check in regularly to make sure that we are going in the right direction.

In a typical session, you may learn cognitive therapy skills to help you relieve anxiety at work. You may practice tools taken from dialectical behavioral therapy to help improve your mood. If you agree, your therapist may give you assignments to complete outside the therapy hour to help reduce stress and improve relationships.

Common Questions

I don’t have a “mental health disorder.” How can I benefit from therapy?
You don’t have to have a diagnosed mental health issue to benefit from therapy. Many people come to therapy simply to explore their lives, feelings, and to have a place to slow down and think through their decisions.

Doesn’t therapy have to be a long-term commitment? I really don't have time for that.
We value your time as much as you do. We also know you want to feel better as soon as possible. So do we. Our therapists are happy to work with you on a short-term, goal-oriented way. Certain types of therapy such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are meant to bring relief and results in a short period of time.
