Course description

Researchers estimate that more than 300,000 people in the US are infected with Lyme Disease each year. Despite its commonality, many health care providers struggle to accurately diagnose Lyme and understand its full range of impacts. 

In this course, Ruschelle Khanna, LCSW describes Lyme Disease and its transmission, reports on the mental health symptoms and impacts of Lyme, provides case examples of working with clients diagnosed with Lyme, and helps you to become a more Lyme-informed professional. Includes discussion of the relationship between Lyme Disease and suicide, and of some areas of current controversy surrounding Lyme Disease.
